Rebel without a Team: Freeze Done In by a Sex Audible

What's in their water down in the Magnolia State?

Viagra?

First, Mississippi loses a governor who just had to use a phone or two in pursuit of the wild thang.

And then, Ole Miss says see y'all to football coach Hugh Freeze, who used a phone or two in pursuit ...

Damn. Dude's had a rough few months.

The lesson: Do not make enemies there.

Freeze has been hoping rocks don't get turned over ever since he arrived in Oxford.

It never eased up. Dude was in Birmingham at SEC Media Days dodging questions about his program and a lawsuit brought on by former Rebel yeller Houston Nutt before the sex scandal even broke.

As a matter of fact, that lawsuit is why the sex scandal broke.

Steve Robertson is a Mississippi State Bulldog fan. It goes without saying he's a Rebel hater.

Operating as a private citizen, he's the dude who got thorough and wound up finding the phone number Freeze used in an attempt to get busy.

When confronted, Freeze came up with one of the most ironic falsehoods ever. Deliciously ironic, in fact.

Dude said he butt-dialed the number.

Come to think of it, given the intent, maybe he did.

And now, the officials have thrown the flag.

Had to be illegal use of hands.
