Orgeron Upset He's Not SC's Choice, Goes Critter on AD Haden

Alabama fans thought they had a bad weekend.

Well, it was nothing compared to USC interim coach Ed Orgeron.

Orgeron's Trojans not only got their butts kicked by rival UCLA on Saturday, 35-14, but he came back to work Monday and got blindsided with the news he won't be USC's new head coach. Former Washington head coach Steve Sarkisian is.

That didn't sit well at all with Coach O, so much so, he quit. According to several reports, Oregeron was "outraged" he didn't get the job. Offensive coordinator Clay Helton will coach the Trojans the rest of the season.

Is it me, or does Orgeron look like the Hulk?

Oregeron reportedly was asked to stay on as an assistant and offered more money, but he decided to resign.

But really, can he be mad?

Actually, yes. Yes he can. He obviously proved that.

But still.

Maybe he'd have had a better case if his team actually showed up for the UCLA game.

And really, how can he get mad when it's been known for weeks that he was a longshot for the job no matter how Troy finished?

Apparently this was a shock to Coach O, but not for the rest of us. Maybe Coach O should invest more of his free time on Twitter.
