Ole Miss QB Says His Receivers Are Better than Texas A&M's

I don't know what Ole Miss quarterback Bo Wallace was smoking or drinking today, but it must have been some powerful stuff.

The Rebels quarterback made this declaration about his wide receivers: They're better than Texas A&M's wideouts.

I think we have better receivers than A&M. They want to talk about Mike Evans being so good, but we have Donte (Moncrief) and I think Laquon (Treadwell) is going to be that way. We have better players on the outside than A&M does.

Oh, but Mr. Wallace wasn't finished yet. He also took a shot at the Alabama secondary.

I wouldn't say a dropoff, but when you have first-round corners every year, I don't know if they are exactly first-round corners. But if you have a guy going in the top 10, you're going to have a little bit of a drop off the next year.

It's obvious Wallace didn't watch the Bama-A&M pointfest or he would have been more careful with his comments. The yardage that receiver Mike Evans had was the most put up by any wide receiver on a Nick Saban defense.

Wallace also must have forgotten that the Rebels still have to face Manziel and the Aggies two weeks after the Alabama game.

In short, he managed to diss two teams he has to face in the future and to whom the Rebels lost last year. I'm sure Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze was thrilled to hear that this afternoon.

As if either team needed more motivation to play against the Rebels. Keep in mind, too, that although the Alabama secondary struggled against A&M, last year they shut down the Rebel offense and held them to 14 points.

One more thing Wallace forgot: he's not Johnny Manziel.
