Muschamp Goes Off on Ohio State

If you thought that SEC Media Days wouldn't get interesting until Steve Spurrier or Johnny Manziel arrived, you'd be wrong.

Florida head coach Will Muschamp started this day off with a bang! that could be heard all the way to Columbus, Ohio.

Muschamp took jabs at Ohio State, Aaron Hernandez, and Urban Meyer.

On Meyer's turning Florida into the NCAA, he said: "In both situations we were turned in by Ohio (notice he didn't say The Ohio State). We didn't do anything wrong. The University of Florida didn't do anything wrong. And so we appreciated our friends from Ohio making sure we're compliant with NCAA rules. They certainly know a little bit about that subject."

But Muschamp was just warming up.

"Big Ten media days are next week," Muschamp continued. "Ask him [about being the coach who called the NCAA]."

Muschamp also turned his attention to the Aaron Hernandez situation, saying he thought coaches were 100% responsible for what players do off the field.

He's talking about you, Urban Meyer.

Muschamp actually did talk about on-the-field football, too, but it was almost an afterthought.

And to think, this was just Day One. Tomorrow the circus comes to town with Johnny Football in the spotlight. Should be interesting.
