Mathieu Makes Ill-Advised Tweet about Boston Tragedy

Yesterday's tragic events in Boston showed us all the love and humanity within that community and around the country.

Athletes from Kobe Bryant to several players from the Boston teams -- Bruins, Red Sox, Celtics, Revolution, and Patriots -- expressed their grief and sorrow over the events that took place, but not all athletes took that approach.

Tyrann Mathieu, aka the Honey Badger, took to his Twitter account and made this ill-advised comment about what happened in Boston yesterday:

"America … Only thing it's good for is making money other than that this a wicked & cruel place to reside"… #pray4boston.

After what took place yesterday, everyone's emotions were high about what took place, but this Mathieu's tweet was just wrong on so many levels.

Mathieu may be trying to prove to the NFL that he is worthy of being a high draft choice, but he didn't help his cause with that comment.

Later, he would retract it, but it was too late. Many news organizations, including this one, caught what he said. And if we were able to do that, believe me, folks in the NFL saw it too.

He may not have been high at the time, but he sounds like he might have had a drag or two of something.
