Manziel Gets Victory in His Return

For awhile, the Rice Owls kept today's game with Texas A&M interesting.

At least in the first half.

They even took the lead at one point, 14-7, but in the end, it was too much Johnny Football. The Aggies wound up rolling to a 52-31 triumph..

The out come is not surprising. We all expected for Rice to get housed today by A&M. Johnny Manziel did his thing with three touchdowns in the second half and was welcomed as a  conquering hero to the fans in College Station.

But it seems celebrity habits die hard, as Manziel's mouth and attitude took away from his accomplishments. After scoring his first touchdown of the season, Manziel pretended to be signing autographs.

After his second touchdown of the season, he took a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for jawing with a Rice player.

Oh, and did we mention a player from A&M not named Manziel got booted from the game for targeting?

Yeah, it was that kind of day for Aggie coach Kevin Sumlin, who grew tired of Manziel's act this afternoon and made him sit the rest of the game.

I guess all that maturity and growth we heard about from Sumlin about Manziel has yet to be seen; don't expect to see it anytime soon, either.

Manziel did not address the media after the game.
