Manziel and Evans to Enter NFL Draft

To no one's surprise, reports from College Station indicate that Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel and wide receiver Mike Evans will announce they're going pro after their bowl game against Duke tomorrow night.

The only eyebrow-raiser was that it was former Cowboys general manager Gil Brandt taking it public.

"No surprise, but Manziel and Evans will be playing final college games tomorrow, multiple sources tell me."

The Aggie duo had spectacular years, especially Evans, whose season could be considered as a breakout. Evans ended up with over 1300 yards receiving, 12 touchdowns scored, and was voted first team All-SEC.

Despite his struggles at the end of the year, Johnny Football was also first team All-SEC. After all, he still threw for almost 4,000 yards and 33 touchdowns.

The question now will be where will both players land. In all likelihood, both will go in the first round, unfortunately, to a crappy team like the Cleveland Browns or New York Jets.

The Browns need a quarterback and the Jets need a wide receiver. I suppose the knowledge that they'd be picked by two teams like these gave them pause to consider remaining in school. Still, those bonus checks spend really well.

And in Manziel's case, this time around, he can actually talk about them.
