Georgia's Best RB and QB Suspended Indefinitely

Of all the times not to be known as Todd Football.

And to have an ... ahem ... uncle looking after his sideshow.

No such luck for Georgia's Mr Gurley.

The Bulldogs' bruising, hurdling, passing, and kick-returning heart-and-soul has been suspended indefinitely for doing things that dudes simply know how to do better in Texas.

And of all the times to be toodling off to Columbia to meet Missouri for temporary dominance of the SEC East -- yes, going west to sort out the East; the SEC is weird that way -- this is probably not when coach Mark Richt was prepared to give more carries to freshman Nick Chubb, all 224 yards of him.

At least Chubb has matched Gurley in touchdown passes for the season. But unlike Mr Heart-&-Soul, his wasn't Georgia's longest completion to date.

If only the Bulldogs had anyone else on the roster who could do that.

So, while Florida's Will Muschamp has his own team issues this weekend and while up-and-coming juggernaut Kentucky toys with Louisiana-Monroe, one would think Mizzou must be praying to the right football gods.

Then again, the football gods at Bovada and elsewhere only lowered the spread one point to Georgia -2. Seems there might be more to the Bulldogs' bite than all the headliners' hyperbolic barks.
