Johnny Manziel's trip to Birmingham for SEC Media Days just got a little more interesting.
How is that possible, you ask?
There was already buzz about the star quarterback before he arrived. Now, that buzz has turned into a full-blown foghorn, especially after the latest report came out.
It seems that Manziel was kicked out of the Manning Passing Academy.
The Mannings (Peyton, Eli and Archie) hold a skills camp each summer for some of the top passers in the nation. But after some late night partying, Manziel showed up late to the next day's session, which is a no-no. He was sent home.
I guess all those reports about him wanting to be mature were false. Manziel was supposed to participate in a passing contest Saturday night, but "was sick" and had to go home. Mmhmm. Code word for 'he had a hangover and couldn't come.'
Manziel's roommate during the academy was Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron, who apparently didn't have that issue.
You have to wonder, how long before Manziel's off-the-field activities will begin to affect him on the field, as well?
Maybe Johnny Football can get some tips from McCarron on maturity. Too bad there isn't a camp for that.
