Ole Miss' Hoopster Henderson: Hated and Loving It

With just a few more hours to go before we learn who will be in the field of 68 for this year's NCAA tournament, the Ole Miss Rebels are assured of at least one thing: they have the most hated player in college basketball, Marshall Henderson.

Henderson is one of the most talented players in the nation, and it appears that he will lead the Ole Miss Rebels into the NCAA tournament for the first time in seven years, but all of that is being overshadowed because of his antics. I haven't seen a player disliked this much since Cam Newton.

Henderson taunts opponents, he taunts the fans, and he is highly emotional. You know how much Henderson is disliked in the SEC? The coaches didn't even vote for him to be on the first team All-SEC team; he was, in a sense, 'demoted' to the second team.

The last time the SEC coaches sent that kind of message was when Gene Chizik wasn't voted Coach of the Year by his peers in 2010 despte the fact that Chizik's Auburn Tigers won the SEC and national championships that season. In hindsight, though, they might have been right.

Some say that what the coaches did was bush league, but Henderson's tactics have become bush league.

Nobody likes a sore loser.

Unless it's Marshall Henderson.
