Miles Bridges Isn't Fleeing to the NBA Just Yet

The Michigan State Spartans were uncharacteristically mediocre this past college hoops season.

However, this hasn't deterred young Miles Bridges.

The dunking enthusiast had until this past Sunday to declare for the 2017 NBA Draft.

And guess what?

The soon-to-be super sophomore has decided to strap it on for one more year in East Lansing.

We're as surprised as you, dudes.

Spartans head coach and leader of young men Tom Izzo is obviously pleased with this development.

According to the former Coach of the Year, Bridges didn't need to be coerced in any way.

In fact, it seems Izzo was even nudging the kid towards the pro ranks.

It's usually a foregone conclusion that most highly touted recruits will simply put in their required year of college and then move on, but this dude clearly enjoys school and wants another shot at a Final Four.

Bridges averaged almost 17 points a game this season and provided a robust highlight reel.

Have a look:

Not a thing wrong with that.

Sparty was eliminated in the second round of the NCAA tourney, but Bridges was certainly on his game in the loss to Kansas.

Also good.

It seems likely there will be much less drama for next year's announcement.
