The Shot Dude: Nameless Tuesday

This time of year, it's common to preface days of the week with a fancy name.

Upcoming days like Black Friday and Cyber Monday leap to mind.

I declare today as Nameless Tuesday

With only two NHL games scheduled, your favorite Shot Dude will be dribbling by with some quality NBA selections to help you build a sucessful lineup on this most nameless of all days.

The Bovada data tool located on our Home page is where you can find the 6 NBA matchups on tap for today.  With one exception, I'm interested in five of them:

Bovada NBA schedule

I'll include FanDuel pricing with my lineup, Please give it a try if you haven't already.

Point Guards

Damian Lillard, Portland ($9400) ... is the unquestioned leader of the Blazers.  While most may flock to Stephen Curry in this spot, your favorite Shot Dude prefers to save the $1500 and get better production today. Golden State is a 17-point favorite over the Lakers, meaning Curry might only play three quarters. I'll take Lillard in a more competitive game and his averages of 21 shots and 26 points.

Isaiah Thomas, Boston ($7600) ... is in another position to start due to the Marcus Smart injury. Thomas has 31 fantasy points or more in 6 straight games. The most appealing statistic for fantasy players is that Thomas has had no more than 3 turnovers in 9 straight games. It's a real bummer when your fantasy lineup loses points due to turnovers.

Shooting Guards

Will Barton, Denver ($5400) ... might be the most productive bench player in the NBA presently. He has played 26 minutes in 6 of his last 9 games, but most impressive is his double digit scoring in 8 of his last 10. From a fantasy prospective, Barton has delivered 25 points or more in 7 of nine games and has topped 30 plus in 5 of those.

Gary Harris, Denver ($4100) ... is a rookie who has looked more refined as his minutes have grown. Harris is gaining the coaching staff's confidence as they have rewarded him with 25 or more minutes in 9 of his last 10 games. NBA minutes equal fantasy points. This is easy to see in Harris' 4 staight games of 20 plus, not a bad track record for only $4100.

Bovada Clippers v Nuggets

Small Forwards

Paul George, Indiana ($9500) ... and his average of 18.7 shots per game are lineup staples for your Shot Dude. George puts the pace in Pacers as there are only 6 players with a higher usage % in the NBA this year. George has scored 44 or more fantasy points in 5 of his last 9 games and hasn't been below 35 in any of his last 10 games.

Jeff Green, Memphis ($4500) ... is the recent benificiary of a starting 5 shakeup by the Grizzlies coaching staff. Not only has Memphis won 4 of their last 5, but Green has had double-digit scoring in 3 of those wins. His fantasy scoring has gone from non-existent to relavant with at least 21 points in 4 of the 5 games he's started.

Power Forwards

Blake Griffin, Los Angeles Clippers ($9200) ... shoots 18.5 times, scores 24.8 points, grabs 8.4 rebounds and dishes out 4.5 assists on average per game. There are enough value plays present tonight to squeeze Griffin into your lineup so his 36 or more fantasy points in 8 of 10 should be all the convincing you'll need. Here's one now ...

Darrell Arthur, Denver ($3800) ... should be quite popular as a lineup insertion if fantasy players are doing their homework. He replaced injured starter Kenneth Farried last game and responded with 31.6 fantasy points in 34 minutes! It looks like Farried and Joffrey Lauvergne will both miss tonight's game versus the Clippers so Arthur's minutes will be secure again.

Center

Mason Plumlee, Portland ($6000) ... showed glimpses of great play when he had chances to start in Brooklyn. Now that he has a secure role with Portland, Plumlee has shined. His averages are over 28 minutes, 10 points, 8 rebounds, a steal and a block each game. In fact, Mason has only dipped below 25 fantasy points twice in his last 10 games. Nothing wrong with consistency.

*Note: Just in case your lineup needs just a bit more value, I really like the position for success that Denver center Nikola Jokic is in tonight for $4300 on FanDuel, as well. He didn't make the Shot Dude's final cut due to the other three Nuggets I'll be rostering.

Today might be nameless, but your Shot Dude sincerely hopes your profits are plentiful with the suggestions made here.
