The Shot Dude: Break Records, Not Laws

The news is filled with lawbreakers.

Just watch CNN for 10 minutes.

Not being reported enough is that we're on the verge of seeing a major record broken.

Your favorite Shot Dude proposes that instead of wrong-doing, these criminals just watch some NBA. The Warriors might just shatter the Bulls' record of regular season wins, and it'd be a shame to miss if you're in the pokey.

Read on, and you won't miss some great ideas for your NBA fantasy lineup. To see the matchups for all nine of today's games, consult the Bovada data tool on our Home page:

Something else you should never miss is the great selection of fantasy games at FanDuel. When you make your team on their site, feel free to include some of these ballers:

Point Guards

Emmanuel MudiayDenver ($6000) ... is coming off an awesome 42-minute, 27-point performance against Philadelphia two nights ago. His fantasy users got a 47 point reward from that game. Dude's in a great matchup tonight against the NBA's worst defensive team against point guards. Sit back and watch the Lakers allow Mudiay 30-32 fantasy points in this one.

Darren CollisonSacramento ($5500) ... is an example of something I rarely do. Taking a back-up is risky, so shy away if you must, but the matchup and lineup flexibility is too tempting for me to avoid. I would normally take Rondo here against the 29th-ranked defense against point guards that belongs to Phoenix. I'll choose to spend up elsewhere and gladly take Collison's 30-32 fantasy points.

Shooting Guards

James Harden, Houston ($10,800) ... is a player I would normally fade against a great defensive team like Toronto, but I'm counting on my opponents to do that. If there's one position to exploit Toronto, it's shooting guard, against which they rank 13th defensively. In addition, Harden just scalded the Raptors for 68 fantasy points in Canada on 6 March. I'm liking Harden for 49-51 fantasy points here.

DeMar DeRozenToronto ($8000) ... fits in one of my old standby rules: always take shooting guards against Houston. The Rockets are 23rd in the league at defending them, and DeRozen's usage rate is 26.0. Dude's just a tick under a fantasy point per minute player, so I put him at 38-40 fantasy points tonight.

Small Forwards

Rudy GaySacramento ($6400) ... has burned me once or twice this season, but Rule No 1 in fantasy is to have a short memory. Every time you completely swear off using a player, they go off and you regret not using them in your lineup. I'm rolling with Rudy against the Suns' porous 27th-ranked defense. When the night is through, Gay will have 28-30 fantasy points.

Kyle AndersonSan Antonio ($3500) ... is my value pick of the night. With the Spurs announcing that Boris Diaw, Patty Mills, and Danny Green will rest this game, and Kawhi Leonard is out with a leg injury, Anderson should see plenty of minutes. I like Anderson to get near seven times his salary at 23-25 fantasy points.

Power Forwards

Alex LenPhoenix ($6400) ... has been getting starter minutes with the back injury to Tyson Chandler. Prior to the last three contests, dude's ripped off 10 straight games with double-digit rebounds. I love that a versatile player like Len can assume the center position and take advantage of Sacrameto's 20th-ranked defense. Look for 32-34 fantasy points from him.

Jon LeuerPhoenix ($4600) ... got 32 and 41 minutes in the Suns' last two games with Len moving over to center. Leuer did not disappoint with fantasy games of just under 33 and 39 in those games. Dude's a lock to repeat similar numbers against the Kings who are dead last in defending power forwards. 29-31 fantasy points is a good range for Leuer.

Center

Andre DrummondDetroit ($8000) ... is a dude who averages just under 40 fantasy points every night. His salary has slipped, so now's the time to take advantage. He exploded last game with a 30-point, 14-board game against Orlando that netted over 51 fantasy points. Drummond should be close to his average with 38-40 fantasy points when this one is over.

Your favorite Shot Dude hopes you stay out of jail and stay in the money with a winning night.
