The Shot Dude: Because I'm Hoopy

Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof.

Your favorite Shot Dude does not have a cool hat like Pharrell Williams, but is feeling happy about tonight's NBA schedule.

There are 12 teams preparing to storm the court, which gives us another chance to make some fantasy green.

I'll let you in on each player's target fantasy score and why they should hit that mark tonight.

Speaking of fantasy games, FanDuel is the place to find the best contests, so head over there next.

You can take a look at today's 6 game NBA tilt using the Bovada data tool located on our Home page:

Bovada NBA schedule

Point Guards

Jordan ClarksonLos Angeles Lakers ($5700) ... needs 27.5 fantasy points to reach value at home against Chicago. Since Derrick Rose had to leave last game with a hamstring injury and Aaron Brooks is below average defensively, Clarkson should exceed his fantasy target. I don't know if the Lakers have the manpower to defeat the Bulls, but since Chicago ranks 26th in the league against point guards, it's the position to exploit.

Jrue HolidayNew Orleans ($6800) ... will need 34 points against Sacramento to reach his fantasy target. Dude is coming off a season-high 32 points that led him to a 54.7 fantasy point night last game against Houston. The Kings, a team that is currently 24th in defense against opposing point guards will have to defend Holiday with an increased usage rate as Anthony Davis is doubtful to play due to a concussion.

Shooting Guards

Will BartonDenver ($6200) ... has a fantasy mark set at 31 points against Washington. I like his chances very much as both his last two performances were at least 34 fantasy points, and the Wizards defense against shooting guards ranks 25th. This game also has the highest projected total on the board at 210 points, so load 'em up!

Jimmy ButlerChicago ($8700) ... has a lofty total of 43.5 fantasy points to make tonight, but that's well within his capability. Butler's usage rate always rises when Derrick Rose is unavailable, plus there are only 2 teams worse than the Lakers at defending shooting guards. This game is in Los Angeles, so I think it stays close enough for Butler to still be on the court in the fourth quarter.

Small Forwards

Jeff GreenMemphis ($5100) ... only needs 25.5 fantasy points to hit value against Milwaukee tonight. I like green's aggressive scoring nature lately, as he has taken double-digit shots in 12 of his last 14 games. Dude is coming off a point per minute performance against Orlando which netted him a 45.1 fantasy point game. The Bucks are not very strong defensively against wing players, ranking just 21st this season.

Danilo GallinariDenver ($6900) ... can bypass his fantasy value by scoring over 34.5 against the Wizards. Not only does this dude average over 13 shots per game, but is relied upon to be the Nuggets main point scorer along with Will Barton. To make Gallinari an even juicer pick tonight, Washington is currently second to last in defending opposing  small forwards.

Power Forwards

Ryan AndersonNew Orleans ($5700) ... like Clarkson, has a fantasy mark of 27.5 points to achieve. This is my lock of the night, as Anderson's role always increases dramatically without Anthony Davis on the floor. Dude has back-to-back fantasy games above 33 and is facing a Kings team that ranks second-to-last in defending power forwards.

Zach RandolphMemphis ($6000) ... is looking to break the 30 fantasy point plateau to exceed his value tonight against Milwaukee. Randolph looked fantastic with 18 points and 13 boards in his last game against Orlando. That was his third double-double of the month, and has another great chance to get one because the Bucks are 25th in the league in defending power forwards.

Center

Pau GasolChicago ($8700) ... has surpassed the 43.5 fantasy points he needs to hit value in 4 of his last 7 games. I almost recommended his brother Marc in this spot but Pau's matchup against the Lakers gets me more excited. Not only does Los Angeles come in 29th in the center defensive sweepstakes, but just allowed over 60 fantasy points to DeMarcus Cousins a week ago.

Your favorite Shot Dude hopes you'll be happy enough to clap at your fantasy winning tomorrow morning.
