Steve Kerr Has Very Little Patience for Pre-Season Basketball

Exhibition games are pretty much a waste of time, regardless of the sport.

This annual tedious ritual is tolerated for the most part by players and coaches.

However, every so often, we get a kernel of truth from one of the participants.

Enter Steve Kerr.

No, not youthful Arizona Wildcat Steve Kerr.

We require present-day Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr.

Close enough.

Anyway, Kerr and his Warriors were recently playing host to the Phoenix Suns in a game that literally meant nothing when things got weird early in the third quarter.

Yes, he actually told the official that he didn't want to be here anyway and sarcastically waved goodbye as he left the court.

We have a new hero, and his name is Steve Kerr.

And while we're on the subject, was this officiating crew unaware that this was a meaningless pre-season game?

That offensive foul was the second called on Curry and the sixth on the Warriors in the game up to that point.

Then they doubled down on the crazy by tossing Kerr, which is exactly what he wanted.

This was almost as egregious as that time when Enrico Pallazzo tossed two umpires from an Angels vs Mariners game.

While Kerr gets cool points for this action, it does seem a bit selfish to force his players to stay for the remainder of the game.

See, dude just wanted some eats.

Steve Kerr for the win.
