Please Don't Ask Jabari Parker to Play Defense
The Chicago Bulls recently signed frequently injured Jabari Parker to play professional basketball for their organization.
However, there appears to be a few caveats.
The former Milwaukee Buck isn't really into the whole defense thing, a point he made adundantly clear in an interview on 670 The Score following his formal unveiling by the Bulls.
Parker was specifically asked about defense and his reply was ... interesting.

Yes, he really did say these things.
That would be the question.
While his honesty is perhaps admirable, this is really not the besy way to introduce yourself to your new NBA home.
He could've easily tossed out a few empty platitudes about devoting more time and energy to his D, but instead, Parker went scorched earth on the entire concept.
Of course, his argument isn't completely without merit, as offense does sell tickets and earn massive contracts.
But still.
Parker is definitely a skilled offensive player when healthy, as the following footage will illustrate:
Sadly, there's no such defensive montage available.
Of course, this is the point.
Parker can play defense when properly motivated, as he proved in the playoffs against Boston.
But it appears he's lost interest yet again.
The already defensively challenged Bulls should be pretty entertaining this season as they channel the 1980s Denver Nuggets.
Good times and short shorts.
