Phil Jackson Is One Bizarre Dude

Sadly, we may have seen the last of Phil Jackson in a professional basketball capacity.

The Zen Master was finally put out of his misery in New York, mercifully being relieved of his duties as team president.

The smoldering wreckage of that debacle can still be seen for miles in any direction.

However, it's preferable to remember Jackson for his many eccentricities and, of course, all of the rings.

Recently, another of Jackson's quirks was revealed by Chris Brickley, a former Knicks employee.

Apparently, when the former North Dakota Fighting PC Dude arrived in New York, he had to interview in order to keep his gig.

Well, in typical Zen-like fashion, Jackson did things a little differently.

While there was no mention of farting, Brickley explained that Jackson asked him only three questions, each one pertaining to basketball, yet unusual in nature.

For whatever reason, the first question was about the athleticism of Steve Nash.

The second explored the correct footwork leading into a jump shot.

The third question got more detailed, as Phil wanted Brickley to list five characteristics of an athlete.

It appears that the probably frightened Brickley did answer the questions successfully, as he was retained by the Knicks at the time.

Perhaps the coaching legend would've had better luck in the front office if he'd interviewed in a more traditional manner.

Like Isiah Thomas, maybe.

Wait, never mind.
