LA Has No Lakes, but Lakers Have LeBron

After making an ass outta himself the first time he made a Decision like this, at least dude learned from the experience.

So did the NBA.

Very few can say they're surprised that LeBron James has taken his clickbait to Los Angeles.

Jumping straight to the NBA from his high school in Akron, James never really had a chance to bask in the entire college recruiting scene. It's thought in some quarters how the circus around his first free-agency escapade was inspired by that dotted line in his life's arc.

He wised up. If only others could've joined him.

But no.

Dude's bank balance registered $440million before he inked his $154million contract with the Lakers, so it's safe to say more money from Cleveland wasn't a factor. It's also a fact that more distance from Cavs owner Dan Gilbert was.

It's already established James is warm-&-fuzzy with Lakers co-owner Magic Johnson, and why wouldn't he be? Everybody likes Magic. Dude's the sports world's version of Oprah.

On the court, what's not to like? For 2020, anyway.

Other than one prophet who think the Lakes will still be Lonzo's team, consensus is LeBron will have a full season to mind-meld with coach Luke Walton and whip this young club into a budding playoff contender. This oughta be a much more lucid relationship, as Walton's a protege of the league's most player-friendly coach in Steve Kerr.

Magic's added a couple of ornaments that no doubt pleased James, too:

So, although no one else will for a while yet, LeBron kept Movin' On 2.0 much more businesslike right from the start.

His next task is getting set for a much more challenging season in the NBA West.

Not much doubt he'll be up for it.

How was James not the MVP last season?

Guess he'll have to show them next season.

Maybe that's another reason he chose LA.

And if LeBron pulls it off, he'll have a whole 'nother home to store the trophy.
