Kyrie Irving Is Having the Best Week Ever
This is a good time to be Kyrie Ivring.

Most of the NBA's impressive young and rising stars gathered in Vegas on Thursday to show their talent vying for a spot on the Olympic team. As expected, Irving shined.  He led the White team to a whopping victory with 23 points and 7 assists.

Coach Mike Krzyzewski gave his usual spill about not looking at individual assessments but the players nor the public believes that. Krzyzewski did note that Irving and Anthony Davis were exceptional talents, easy to coach, good guys, performed the best, and will be a big help to the team. All of which are an indication of what their chances are of making the squad.

The actual Olympic team will likely feature an assortment of guards such as Derrick Rose, Russell Westbrook, and Chris Paul, but Irving is a much better shooter than the aforementioned and, by the summer of 2016, vey likely a better point guard

Kyrie has one other intangible advantage. He will don the cover of the newest NBA Live 2014.  To break this down in comparable terms, LeBron James is on the cover of the newest NBA2K.

Being on the cover of a video game shows two things:
  1. You are the flavor of the hour, the It guy, the public loves you, and
  2. You're talented.
Irving is clearly a player on the rise in the NBA. Maybe this is his best week ever, but maybe this is also just the start of the best life ever.

Cleveland hopes so.
