Kevin Durant Rolls the Thunder in Grudge Match

Messy sports divorces are always fun to watch, particularly the aftermath.

Fortunately, we were treated to some fine NBA acrimony when the Oklahoma City Thunder hit the West Coast to take on Kevin Durant and the Golden State Warriors.

This early-season matchup has been eagerly anticipated ever since Durant fled the Thunder and his platonic basketball partner Russell Westbrook in the offseason.

Both sides claim there's no ill will, but we should never allow alleged facts to ruin a good narrative.

Durant and his new bionic superteam embarrassed the Thunder at the Oracle to the tune of 122-96.

More importantly, Durant was on his game, pouring in 39 points in an inspired performance.

Obviously, the 2014 NBA MVP treated this game a little differently than a normal mid-week tussle with the likes of the Jazz or Kings.

Meanwhile, Westbrook and the Thunder were painfully overmatched, raising questions about whether or not this new rivalry even qualifies as such.

Westbrook did get in some playful trolling before the game, showing up at the Oracle wearing a photographer's vest, a solid dig at one of Durant's hobbies.

The former hoops life-mates hook up again in about 10 weeks, so mark those calendars, dudes.
