Isaiah Thomas Beats Wizards While Losing Tooth

Isaiah Thomas Jr has had a most eventful NBA season.

The nadir was recently losing his sister in tragic fashion, an event h's somehow played through.

There have also been finger guns and accusations of manipulating his dribble.

Most recently, there was an incident against the Washington Wizards in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals:

Sadly for Thomas, that was without the benefit of even a local anesthetic.

To his credit, Thomas didn't seem the least bit phased by the blow, as he calmly located his stray tooth on the floor and brought it over to the bench.

The sixth-year MVP candidate shrugged off the discomfort to pour in 33 points to go along with nine assists.

The Celtics put in on the Wizards by a final of 123-111.

Thomas will likely have to squeeze in a visit to the dentist before Game 2.

Teammate Kelly Olynyk can sympathize to an extent.

Many a hockey player, of course, has been there and done that.

The unofficial record still belongs to the Chicago Blackhawks' Duncan Keith:

Hopefully, for Thomas, things won't get that weird.
