Glass Half Phil: President Jackson Will Be in New York Some of the Time

With news of Phil Jackson's zengineered acquisition of the New York Knickerbockers' presidency, The Daily Player has uncovered definitive proof of Jackson's intention to spend as little time as possible in The Big Apple.

It is believed the following transcript -- a not-so-subtle re-jig of Billy Joel's 'New York State of Mind' -- was employed by the Bling-Master during negotiations with Knicks owner Jim Dolan:

Some folks like to get away,
from the NBA and the Lakerhood.
Hop a flight to Montana or to Deadwood.
Now I'm fakin' a Greyhound on the Hudson River line.
I'll be in New York some of the time.

I've seen all the movie tools, the Shaqtin' fools and their limousines.
Been high in the rafters with those great Bulls teams.
I know what Carmelo's needin', but I don't want to waste my time.
I'll be in New York some of the time.

It was so easy coaching day by day
With Hall of Famers - how could I lose?
But now I got a franchise that can't play
JR chucks and Felton shoots.

It comes down to reality, and it's fine with me cause I'm a Buddhist guy.
I don't care if they're lottery-bound or have no pride.
I have eleven rings baby.
I think I'm doin' fine.
Hey, Skip! I'll be in New York some of the time.
