Cleared for takeoff? Da!

Walking away from a high-speed crash is a miracle.

But perhaps some drivers have an extra hedge on their luck.

Take Konstantin Tereshchenko, a 20-year-old who was in the midst of a practice run for the Belgian Grand Prix. Suffice it to say he took his racing career to new heights, in a manner of speaking:

Tereshchenko was not only unscathed by his short-range flight and hard landing, he seemed totally unfazed by it.

Then again, how unusual an experience was that for a driver with his cultural background?

To say he came from the right country is an understatement.
