Time for a Pendulum Swing

If ever there was an urge to make an under play in today's MLB menu, it's with the Cincinnati Reds' and Miami Marlins' matinée.

Both clubs are hovering around .500 and neither team has been scoring many runs as of late.

Prevailing sentiment is to ride with a trend once it's identified, but as with anything else, all good things must come to an end. And as loaded as the indicators are toward another under, there may be a contrarian factor about to arise this afternoon.

The Mike Leake-Jacob Turner tandem could be what both teams need to light up the scoreboard. AccuScore has both of them at a 45% chance of notching a quality start. In 20 outings, Leake is 9-11 against the over for a 45% result; Turner is 6-5 for a 55% result. With Bovada pegging the number at 7½, these two hurlers could be responsible for overturning every other trend that matters.
